Building teams -- deepening the capacity of people to think together, decide, commit, communicate and perform -- is our expertise and our passion.
We start with an assumption that people - all of us - want to contribute and succeed: We call this "Positive Intent." Underneath every complaint or sigh of resignation or problem behavior there is a commitment to some value or desired outcome. Under the right circumstances, every one of us will learn to utilize the essential people skills to move towards those positive values and outcomes. Our job is to help you define and establish an environment in which that happens.
Those "right" circumstances vary greatly from organization to organization, industry to industry. For this reason, everything we do is customized to the needs of the particular team we are serving. Whether we are coming in to simply provide a facilitation for a meeting or to help manage a long-term culture change, our first step is to get a clear sense of what is unique about you and your situation, so that we are working with you to provide a solution to your real need, not just trying to fit you into a service or product we already have on the shelf.
Another key to our approach is the principle of the importance of the free flow of information. The research on this is clear: teams and organizations are smarter, healthier and more capable when information flows without obstruction. Empowering clear communication -- real conversations - is a common element of everything we do, though the steps to fostering it may look very different from organization to organization.
Accountability, or Personal Ownership, is another foundation principle for us. A meeting is worthless if there is no follow through on the actions committed to. We are committed to making a difference with every service we offer, and we believe that setting clear accountabilities, and following up on them, is an integral ingredient to delivering.

Your strength is letting the group lead the meeting. Your flexibility has allowed the group to explore the issues that are most important to us at every one of the retreats you've led. That is quite a skill, to sacrifice your own agenda in favor of the group's agenda. Thanks for that.

Zemo was very helpful in skillfully guiding the team on our journey to straight talk and effective decision making. He modeled the delivery of feedback in a straightforward and honest manner, and his ability to recognize and cut through our 'politeness' problem was superb.
